Possible Malware problem

My computer has been intermittantly slow and unresponsive, and I've gotten a blue screen once this week (but alas not quick enough for info from that). This morning I surprisingly found some extra tool bars in all three of my browsers, which I either disabled or removed. I have no idea how they got there so I thought I'd follow the malware removal procedure, which I have. And now I want to see if someone can offer advice based on the logs that have been produced.

There is a complication. I have also had a hard drive failure warnings today indicating that I should perform a back up. The Intel Matrix Storage Console tells me " A hard drive is reporting a SMART event", and that I should refer to replacement and recovery instructions in the manual. This seems like it could be a totally different concern, but before I do anything with the hardware, I just wanted to see with the experts about the malware logs.

    Thanks.

    Laptop: HP EliteBook 2540p, Win7 Pro 64.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

These are more likely signs of other problems with Windows ( or due to the hard disk problems you mentioned ).

You can rerun Hitman Pro and allow it to cleanup the last of the junk that it detected. Other than that, your logs are clean.
