A friend asked me today about the following problem:

[apparently suddenly] cannot access tinyurl.com or any tinyurl links, nor can he install the toolbar link in Firefox (3.0).
Also can't get to tinyurl.com with IE.
No problem known with any other site...

    Any thoughts?

It may or may not be malware related, it's hard to say without seeing any logs. I would recommend him running the READ ME and posting the requested logs so we can see a little more into the system.
