    My friend has a problem with internet explorer crashing when it is being launched.
    I was told this is possibly malware, I'm not sure of this myself, but I would like to be sure that it is not the case.

    I have done the standard procedure

    Rerun RogueKiller and have it fix these items:
    Code:
    ¤¤¤ Registry Entries : 10 ¤¤¤
    [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\Run : SecureKey ("C:\Users\Desmond\AppData\Local\SecureKey\1.1.3149.7022\SecureKey.exe" -l Default [7][x]) -> FOUND
    [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKCU\[...]\Run : briidge.net Connect Device Monitor ("C:\Users\Desmond\AppData\Local\SecureKey\SKDeviceAccess\2.1.1.6824\skdevicemonitorwin.exe" [7]) -> FOUND
    [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-3684218246-3440436478-3244573582-1000\[...]\Run : SecureKey ("C:\Users\Desmond\AppData\Local\SecureKey\1.1.3149.7022\SecureKey.exe" -l Default [7][x]) -> FOUND
    [RUN][SUSP PATH] HKUS\S-1-5-21-3684218246-3440436478-3244573582-1000\[...]\Run : briidge.net Connect Device Monitor ("C:\Users\Desmond\AppData\Local\SecureKey\SKDeviceAccess\2.1.1.6824\skdevicemonitorwin.exe" [7]) -> FOUND
    Then fix this:
    Code:
    ¤¤¤ Scheduled tasks : 1 ¤¤¤
    [V2][SUSP PATH] briidge.net Connect Sofware Update : C:\Users\Desmond\AppData\Local\SecureKey\SKDeviceAccess\2.1.1.6824\skupdaterwin.exe - -automatic [7] -> FOUND
    Then rerun Hitman and have it fix all the PUP's that it found.

    Reboot and rescan with both RogueKiller and Hitman and attach the new logs.

    Be sure to tell me how things are running.

    Well, I think it is time to send you to the software forum. Your logs are clean, so it must be a software issues.

    Since you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
