Is it worth it?

 

Add a few bucks and get a dual-core machine instead, this is just too slow unless all you want to do is yack on forums or IM, check e-mails etc. Oh, Vista Home Basic is really basic. Check out MS's comparison chart. This would be good for grandma but you'd be bored to tears with it real fast.

 

I was planning on dumping vista and installing XP.

 

Make sure you have all the XP drivers for it first!

 

@zDawg32: If this is coming direct from Dell then the likelihood of having all XP drivers available is close to 0.2938934588309853975318509143
