Hi! I occasionally have an issue with the Win10 shut down process: when I shot down the system with an application open, Windows prompts to close the open applications. I click Cancel to go back, and Windows continues shutting down anyway. Is this a known issue with Windows? Or am I doing something wrong?

If I shut down with open applications it just does so, I'm not prompted to close them first or get any opportunity to cancel.

Maybe the Cancel button should be relabeled to "Shutdown without saving"?

My husband gets this from time to time on a Windows 7 computer so NO it isn't a Windows 10 issue. He either forces the app to close or waits until it closes and then the computer shuts down.
