    I do go to themexp.org.....i love that stuff except for all the spyware that is loaded in every file, but i cant find the right icons for me :rolleyes: ;)

    @Spaz ... dunno what it is but I can never view your pictures, I know there remotly hosted @ mikecycles but I cannot even view that site either..... its no problem just wondered if that domain had blocked some other domains or IPs?

    Ah just saw this, Halo... Hmm, you should be able to see my site. I don't have any particular blocks and have not heard from anyone (so far) that they weren't able to see it. I'll look into it, tho... thanks for the tip!

    How do you know it isn't a legit list?

    My mp3 collection is at least that big with legit rips.

    well finished with samurize for now unless some insperation kicks in...... may loose the weather info ( or just limit it to big icon and temp ) for now as its messing causing some slowdown in the other data... namely CPU % and system Uptime, its beta so will await a newer version, may add MBM temp data instead or even the "whats on TV" ... but the basic theme is nearly done, GUI dll changes tomorrow.

    basically all I did from last time was to work out a new weather plugin, create an Aqua look box for the background of the info panels and cleaned up the wallpaper.

    Here ya go Halo. Not sure I am happy with it :( Its a very rough draft. I'll probably have deleted half of it by the time I finish posting this. I tried a complete rewrite, and it worked but looked like crap.

    Can you tell me what setting syou used to get the 3d/glassy appearance?

    Its not bad. Get a config you like at www.samurize.com to start with.

    Its pretty intuitive once you learn your way around it.

    looks good mate, ties in well with the wallpaper, I like the idea of quick links to common used apps :) I know what you mean I have about 30 config files with different ideas on them! *damm things taking over my life* ;)

    as for the Glass look backgrounds its a combination of Drop Shadow, Bevel and Emboss and Gradient Overlay... as I see you have PS you have mail :)

    If you've got it to work in a config file of its own then you can use the merge function to add it to another config file, thats what I have been doing playing with different configs and merging them with a copy of the one I'm using then if all works well delete the temps or move them into a temp folder just incase I want to add or test stuff at later date.



    as for the weather script, which one you got? I found the Desktop Weather one was difficult for me to get UK weather info.. kep getting somewhere in California ( wishfull thinking ) so I tried this one Weather 2004 RC5 ( beta mind and some including me have found CPU % is acting weird )

    Weather 2004 RC5 thread and linked file... included is a program to locate your weather location ID and the redme on how to using Change Parameters add your location to the script.

    thanks halo. i was laying in bed figuring i was doing something wrong, since i'm a noob at this. anyway...i'm trying Weather 2004 RC5, and i was doing it all wrong. merge function? that would fix everything...where is the merge function located?

    When you open Edit config at the top under File is Merge have the config you want to merge open click File > Merge adn locate the congig you wish to merge with and shazam! they be merged.


    looking into using two config files one with basic info and another with weather, WMP9 track info etc etc more in order to see if that stops the high CPU usage in CPU% ( even tho task manager say I'm Not )


    Hey I'm noob at this too only been using it for a week :)

    not that i see. but i was thinking if i could get rid of my icons, and use a graphic in samurize instead, that would be neat.

    if thats a weather icon pic you are trying to attached in the top left corner then some of the weather icon packs are not compatable with weather2004 try some of these out http://www.samurize.com/modules/ipboard/index.php?showtopic=3857 I used the shiny ones.

    and in edit meter > source > select function to run use IconNow > click change parameters and link it to both your ID and location of icons.


    as for the other pictures as buttons, what do you want them to do and where did you get the icons and I will have a mess with it as well?
