Posting problems

Has anyone experienced a problem with posting? Sometimes I'll post a reply and if I check back later my response is gone. Is it a flaw or am I getting edited out?

 

happend to me a few times.. apparently it was something to do with the ajax posting. That's all i could I localize it to.

 

Sometimes the posts are deleted because the replies are inappropriate, as was the case in this thread. Would that be the most recent post you are referencing foogoo?

 

In which case, check your PMs for an explanation.

 

Yes, it's been happening to me as well. I'll write up a reply to a thread then try to post. The message says if it was a valid thread, to contact the administrator. Or I'll be signed in already while reading a thread, then click on a picture link and find I have to sign in again. I was wondering if it was the new ad software. Is that Ajax? Since I run my browser with scripts partially allowed, I just figured that was the problem.

 

If you get the message saying it was an invalid thread after clicking on an email notification, then it has more than likely been deleted by Admin.

That happens sometimes. It's not common, but it does happen.

The mods here are pretty quick, and anything they deem inappropriate or not in the forums best interests get deleted or edited (I should know ).


The having to sign in again is another problem, more than likely cookie related or some sort of ad blocker or filter etc.

 

The threads were legitimate, but I may have spent too long composing my messages. The fault of my learning curve on uploading photos. I thought I could preview them, so I kept futzing around on the messages. I do wonder about the signing-in again problem. I only partially allow Java scripts and that does function as an ad blocker for some ads. So if that's it...ah, tradeoffs. [sigh.]
