So I understand that you're all very busy, and I reckon that you'd be less busy if'n there were more of you. Amirite?

So, do you train folks like me to interpret these things for ourselves? For that matter, if I was to give you a bunch of log files like you always ask for, and then, once you gave me a solution, I asked you how you interpreted what you saw, would you explain?

If you are not at least an advanced Windows user that is very familiar with all Windows Operating Systems and the files and folders used by Windows, then you would probably not be ready to handle working in this forum.

How experienced are you?

What is your background?

How much do you know about malware?

Do you have any experience removing malware? And I don't mean simple malware that is easily fixed by running a standard antivirus or antispyware application.

I'm a Comptia A+ certified technician. I'm famililiar with windows operating systems, bot NT and 9x, and have been troubleshooting windows systems for a living for 9 months.

As for how experienced I am with malware, I'm getting there. I'd love to know more about it, but for now, I'm pitifully undereducated in that particular arena

You may want to consider hanging around for awhile reading lots of threads and learning to recognize various malware issues and the procedures we use to remove it. Also ask questions about things you would like to know about. When you get to a point where you feel you have a better handle on malware and think you are ready for some testing to see if you are really ready let us know.

Yes we need help, but we have limited time to actually spend training people from the ground up. Since you are experienced with the Windows OS, it should be easier for you than some to follow along with the procedures and learn the techniques used and also the special tools used.
