Power Point Organisation charts

I am new to this forum though I have had Major Geeks in my favorites for a few years now I had forgotten all about it Last year I decided to take a lifelong learning course on clait plus. I am about to restart on the 10th September and this time I am taking power point. Fortunatley I have some of the course work to hand and able to get a head start (well in theory)
I have come to a section were I am ask to create an organisation chart which is simple enough. The problem I am having is trying to get the autoshape large enough to take the required font size.
There is loads of help in files and books but none of it works :cry The place in which I am supposed to be able to manually control the size is all greyed out and fit shape to text is non active. Can any one help please, I want to get this done before the course starts to gve me more time to go for the Diploma. Thanks

To cat with 9 lives, Thank you for replying to my thread. I used the link you gave me but unfortunatly all the commands are greyed out and nothing seems to switch them on. I am using office 2003. Perhaps I might have a file missing? or it just means I am missing something in the instructions

What you're describing means not available - not sure if your doing something or it's the software.

Try doing the tutorial below, will help you figure out if you need to reinstall software.

I have just found out what I have been trying to do cannot be done in XP. you were right cat--and the people at the centre have just realized it so the practice excercise book is wrong.

 

What is the "required font size"? This might help: Creating an organization chart in Office 2003

 

the font size is Sans Serif 20 may be you know something that the tutors don't. It would be great if I could show them how to do it. All this comotion about an Org Chart
