Hello guys been a while :)

im having trouble with my ACER Aspire M1100 (old but ive kept it alive)

Recently i had a power outage at my house and my PC doesnt have a surge protector.

i tought it might be the power pack so i bought a new one and have just put it in and it still wouldnt turn it on. after a while of checking the wires are in properly and everything i tried again and boom it turned on. i turned it off againto make sure it would turn on again (would have had to anyway to take it back to my house) and low and beold it wouldnt turn on again :mad:mad:mad

im starting to lose patience since i cant do any work or anything since most is on this computer.

was just wandering if any one would have any advice or guidence in this problem?

or possible were to find a new power button for it?

    thanks all :)

Since universal power switches are sometimes incompatible with the mobo wiring layout on OEM PCs, I'd check on eBay to see if any used parts places have a M1100 front power switch for sale. The $10-$15 doing this is about the same cost as buying a replacement switch kit and it will be easier to install.

    Hope this helps. :)
