Power2Go icon

I have downloaded Power2Go from Cyberlink. Everything is fine except that I don't want the desktop icon. My problem is that no matter how many times I delete it, it reappears every time the program is started. How can I permanently delete it?

You may have to uninstall it. Then when you re-install it, pay attention before clicking 'Next' each time. At some point there should be a little check box for "Create desktop shortcut". Uncheck that box and it should take care of the problem. I'm sure that there's a registry mod you can do without having to uninstall the program, but since I don't use it, I have no idea what it would be.

 

Thanks for your reply. I did uncheck the "Create desktop shortcut", and when the program had loaded there was no shortcut, it only appears as soon as I start the program.
