PowerColor HD 3850 Pro stuck at 100% fan speed

Hello,
I have just ordered 1 of these cards from e-buyer.But I have seen a few posts on the net about how the fan runs at a constant 100% and sounds as if its going to take off.I dont really want to hear that.So has any1 got I of these cards(Im sure its only with the Powercolor version)and have they come across this problem and better yet have they managed to lower the fan speed.A few people have mentioned that they have used RivaTuner and the likes but that didnt help.I have seen 1 fix that seems to work but that involves removing the Cooler and attaching the Zalman Fan Mate 2,I dont want to do that with a Brand new Card.Cheers

 

No one have any info on this little problem of mine.

 

I've got the powercolor version and the fan is fine on it. I've used rivatuner to turn mine UP but not down.

 

So your fan cant be set at 100% if you managed to turn it UP?Ok I guess I will just have to wait till I get the card to make sure.Thanks.

P.S. Are you sure RivaTuner does indeed set the fan speed.I have read that no matter what you set it at it still stays a 100%.Can you hear a difference in the fan?
