powerpoint file

    hi, have an interview for a job soon and they sent me a map to the office on a powerpoint file. i know little about computers generally. any idea how i open this file? do i need to buy powerpoint software?

    No. You do not have to purchase "Microsoft Office" software [which comes with PowerPoint].

    You can download and install Microsoft's free PowerPoint Viewer 2003 which you can use to view and print presentations, but you cannot edit them using the free viewer.

    The 'Viewer' works with presentations created in the following MS Office programs: Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 | Microsoft PowerPoint 2002 | Microsoft PowerPoint 2000 | Microsoft PowerPoint 97

    Note: Microsoft also offers two other free 'viewers' - Excel Viewer 2003 | Word Viewer 2003
