pre windows boot screens

    How can I adjust the on times for the initial pre windows boot screens ie the screens that say "press F2 for bios...etc.?

    Date and Time are stored in a PC with a battery powered chip set called the CMOS RAM/ Real Time Clock.
    The BIOS calls the Real Time Clock to get the current time/date on boot-up and passes this data to the operating system
    You should be able to set the correct time under CMOS settings in the BIOS menu.
    If the time setting doesn't hold the battery needs replaced.

    I believe he is referring to changing how long it waits for a user to press F12, etc. before that option disappears.

    I would like to shorten the time the pre screen stays on. sorry I wasn't more clear in the origional post.
