Preboot execution environment

Hey all,

This is something new to me on my desktop. I have a basic knowledge that this is a networking thing, but I am not on a network. This appears on bootup with a black screen where the single blinking cursor appears for a second, before the operating system logo comes up. Should I be worried about it?

Is this blinking white cursor, as within a second of you powering up your PC and in the top left side?

If so its likely to be linked to your BIOS and its boot procedure ( most list the graphic card around same time and if FAST BOOT is enabled in BIOS then you dont get all the old testing of memory and CPU speed info ), I know all 3 of mine do this and soon after it stops the Windows loading coloured scolling bar starts then you boot to the Windows GUI ( Desktop )
