Presario Vista Load Problem

    Hi everyone

    I recently bought a secondhand Compaq Presario C500 notebook preloaded with Vista. Since I am not a huge fan of Vista I downgraded to XP Pro only to find that the C500 is not particularly XP friendly (driver problems). No problem I thought. I'll just put Vista back on. WRONG! The DVD boots to a blank screen and that's it. I've had no problem with the same DVD loading on other notebooks. Any ideas?
