I had to format C to get rid of an open backdoor "produkey"... I'm nt sure which software installed it, but I just couldn't remove it, and recently a prime-hack used it to install a brand new generic W32 worm, and three other bugs... :cry

I'm posting with the old iMac while the PC formats its 80-gigs...
Running this ole iMac is like driving a WW2 tank in a garden, but at least it doesn't get stuck... :major

I'm formating the W2000-C with a W98 install CD, then I'll pull the battery ten minutes to clean the bios, then install the W2000 CD fresh and clean as it gets, I hopes... Is there a better way?.. I want to erase Everything, just in case a bit of worm and/or bug is hiding somewhere in the ower...

Is there a way to block "produkey" from installing, if it is in a software..? :confused

Is there anything that can remove produkey?..

Is there any way to know in advance which software carries the produkey open back-door vulnerability?.. I ran the AVS scan on all incoming softwares, which didn't detect produkey till it was installed..? Once in, formating seems the only way to remove it...
