printer.exe malware....

This is the most stubborn bit of freekin malware I have ever had the misfortune of trying to remove!! :banghead :cry I've run scan after scan; tried Hijack This and other similar utils; booted to PE and tried to delete files... whenever I reboot in normal mode the files come back!!! Every time!! I've been seeing this printer.exe file more and more lately and I know it's the root of the "Windows Antivirus...." balloon that keeps coming up with the yellow triangle exclamation point in the system tray by the clock... any tips?

 

:celebrate Finally got rid of it!!! I emptied the system restore cache, then ran an AntiVir scan, followed by a RemoveIT Pro scan, followed by a SUPER Antispyware scan, then rebooted, and it's GONE!!! :hyper :cool

 

I would recommend running the READ ME because most of the time there is something else present whent his occurs.
