Printer grief

Hi all.
I have a Epson R265 printer.
I have bought some compatible cartridges that are chipped.
I have replaced the black but the carriage is just returning to the rest position with the 'ink out' light still on and the green power light on.
I have tried two new cartridges.
I have also reinstalled the drivers.
Is there something that i have missed or do i have dodgy cartridges?

BTW i asked the suppliers before i bought them and they said they are ready to go. They are closed for the weekend so i can't phone them.

 

Sometimes I have had a duff black with my epsom r200, with compatables.
Also, if you mix alternatives, they will not always work. I would try the complete set before asking for replacements - then if no luck, you know.
I assume you checked to see if the bottom of the new cartridge has been pierced, and that the tab was peeled of - I know, you are not daft, but we all forget silly things,sometimes.

 

Yes i checked the outlet was pierced and yes i am daft
All the other inks have a fair bit left in them, i didn't want to waste such an amount.
I will ring the company this morning and see what they have to say. There is a 100% satisfaction guarantee so they should sort it.

Yes, I would think that you will be able to have it replaced - most suppliers are pretty good, as they want you to come back for more.
If you are happy with their service, you will buy again, so it is in their interest.
