Printer is Jacked UP!

Ok, I came in to work today and there is a document laying on my desk with a post-it note that has my name written on it. I looked at the document and, well basically it looked like someone had typed a bunch of gibberish on it. The lady having the issue only has this happen every now and then. It isn't on a specific type of document or font, it just randomly prints gibberish. I'll put an example below. I've tried searching the web on this subject before but so far no luck. Any help would be great.

Some of the letters are overlapped too.

 

Educated guess anyone?

 

Looks a lot like machine language. Could for some reason be printing a command line sent from the printer to the computer or vice versa. You may also want to try another cable between the printer and computer. I've seen similar problems when cables get stepped on or someone rolls a computer desk across a USB cable smashing the wires together inside the jacket.
