    Hello,

So I have a really bizarre issue here that I am having a tough time troubleshooting. Just some background info.: We are running Windows Server 2003 and we have our users RDP into the terminal servers to access all there resources (email, internet, programs, etc). It is an active directory environment each users are assigned there specific permissions to see and access there printers. We do not have one primary print server but rather the printers are installed on the terminal servers that correspond to there buildings server since we have 5 buildings worth of staff and equipment each building has there own terminal and file server.

Ok so the problem is the principal of the school is able to see every single printer installed on the high school server even though in the permissions it clearly shows she only has access to the Main office and guidance printers. Her account information is setup the same as everyone else except for her group permissions. Other people who have the same exact account information and are in the same groups do not have this problem.

Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated. If you need me to clarify something or if what I typed didn't make sense just let me know and I will do my best to make it easier to understand.

    Thanks,

    -A

What are the group's permissions for those printers? Is that maybe where the issue lies at?

That's teh strange part. All the permissions check out :confused It shows in permissions she should only being seeing two printers but she sees every single one.

What if you setup permissions to deny access her access to those specific printers that she should not have access too?

that would solve a piece of the problem but wouldn't resolve the issue completely. That would help prevent her from printing to said printers but they would still show up as an option on the list. I honestly can't figure this one out got me completely stumped. Thanks for the responces Squeaner!

The reason I asked you to do that is to see what actually occurs. It the principal is somehow getting double permissions. Even if she's denied, it might actually still slip through by some random chance even though she shouldn't be.

    Hope this makes sense.
