    hi folks i cannot get my printer to work i have done all the steps that the guys over on printer problem page told me but still no joy i have got this far

    Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, locate the following key:
    \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers \specific printer\SpoolDirectory
    when i get to the print\ printers the list i get dos not contain printers .

    What is your operating system ...is the printer networked or local ....did you install drivers before or after you hooked it up? Does it show up in deice manager?

    hi m8 i have xp pro i have tried uninstall every thing honest i am missing a file someware but im buggered if i can work it out it dont show in devive manager im not networked i dont think i share a 10t connection please help i will buy another printer but i think its my puter thats f****d

    Is it a usb printer or a parallel post printer? ...the fact that it isn;t in device manager indicates that the computer isn't seeing it at all. Maybe a bad cable...loose connection?
