printing problems in access

When I try to print my access document it keeps saying a printer must be installed first. There is however a printer installed and set as default. This is a non-networked printer and seems to print anything else perfectly fine. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the printer driver and the problem persisted. I'm not really sure what could be causing this problem. Can anyone help me?

 

I have a problem with access where I can't run reports until I change my default printer to MS document image writer. Things work fine after that & I can still see my other printers, so can print where I like & swap back to my real default when I'm done.

Might be worth a try.

 

A registry Key is currupted

Reset first by setting another printer as the default and then set your original printer as the default.

If you dont have another printer set up

Click start settings printers add printer next click local local printer in the manufacturers list click generic in make/model click generic / text only click next

click lpt1 port click next next click finish

in the printers window right click generic / text only click set as default

then right click your original printer and click set as default

try to print

if this dont work a printer driver is corrupted.
