How come I've got 65535 of them, that aren't actually there?

The notification says I have that many unread, but my total hasn't changed.

 

I PM'd you War & Peace, one page at a time.

I'll have Abby check into it for you in a couple of minutes. If she can't solve it, she'll let CP know. Errors like that are usually his doing.

 

Very interesting indeed. Stats according to the back-end you have a combined total of 25 in your folders. Is that accurate for what you actually have?

Where specifically are you seeing that you have 65535 of them that aren't really there?

I see nothing out of sorts with your account at all...you've not been placed in any user groups, etc. Have you tried clearing your cache? Or logging out, dumping your cookies and then logging back in to see if that clears it for you?

Total went up by one, as expected, but the unread number remained the same. Curiouser and curiouser...

 

Quick, send me another one. I just noticed that the unread number went down by one after I read your pm.

Ok, one more please. The number went up to 65535 again. I think it tops out there. I'm not going to open your last one until I see if that's the case.

Thanks Lev. It is the case that 65535 is the maximum. It stayed there while my total jumped by one. When I open the two unread messages I guess the number will drop to 65533.

I'll let Abby figure it out. @AbbySue - or not. It doesn't bother me any.

I wish I knew where the rest were.
