my laptop is running avast av software and when started-up this morning pop-ups started appearing persistently.
first one states - 'system error. hard disk failure detected' and it offers two options scan and repair or cancel and restart.
the second one - 'system message - write fault error' it gives description ' a write command during the test has failed tocomplete........' it offer three button options cancel or try again or continue. this message keeeps loading to flood the desktop.
also i get pop-ups from the quick start br that state ' seek error' or critical error' or ' serious disk error writing drive c:/
i also get a pop up clain to be from avast stating ' trojan horse blocked' and it name win32:FakeAV-DCL[Trj].

i have no icons on the desktop, in start menu the only options are all programes-> manuals, or 'log off' or 'turn off computer'.
i've tried restarting in safemode and safemode with networking but while they load the desktop is also blank and same options on start menu.
i can't get system manager to load (ctrl+alt+del) nor can i get into menu to get into 'regedit'.
i can access internet and tried to download and run malwarebytes but it could install - the malware is stopping it.
what can i do to remove this stuff?
    i've exhausted my limited knowledge.
    thanks

Please download and save the below to your Desktop or anywhere else you can find it ( if the Desktop is not showing )

    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/grinler/unhide.exe

Now run it. Did that help?

There is lots more to do so here goes:

I want you to run TDSSKiller so refer to the below for how to do so.

    TDSSkiller - How to run

Please also download MBRCheck to your desktop
    • Double click MBRCheck.exe to run (vista and Win 7 right click and select Run as Administrator)
    • It will show a Black screen with some information that will contain either the below line if no problem is found:
      • Done! Press ENTER to exit...
    • Or you will see more information like below if a problem is found:
      • Found non-standard or infected MBR.
      • Enter 'Y' and hit ENTER for more options, or 'N' to exit:
    • Either way, just choose to exit the program at this point since we want to see only the scan results to begin with.
    • MBRCheck will create a log named similar to MBRCheck_07.16.10_00.32.33.txt which is random based on date and time.

Do not stop! Continue on with the below.

    Attach the requested logs.
