Problem after running ad-aware...I'm lost!!

Hi, I hope someone can help me. I've caused myself a heap of trouble. My computer was running a little slow, so I downloaded Ad-aware anniversary edition freeware and ran it. I deleted the things it said. Then decided that it might interfere with my AVG and decided to delete the program. Yes, I know, stupid!!! I'm not very good with computers, if that is not already evident. anyway, I do alot of blog writing and surfing. Suddenly all the blogs I normally go to are no longer displaying the images, but now have red X's. My computer was not like this before. I realized I should have restored the things I quarantined, but can't do that since I eliminated the program!! Did a system restore, but that didn't work. Couldn't find the program in my recycle bin. I've messed around with various settings for the last four hours via various suggestions on the internet, but nothing is working. Do you have any solutions or fixes, please??!! Thanks to anyone who can help.

I've managed to fix my own problem. I finally googled the answer which worked for me...a registry fix. It was actually posted on your forum in 2004. I'll put the link here in case anyone else has had the same problem: again, my problem was after running ad aware, all my jpg images showed up with a red X.

Here's the fix, it was easy. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it stays fixed.
