Problem cleaning fileerror_22001

    I have looked at the fileerror_22001 thread and was starting to clean it. I am working on husband's work computer with XP pro and it is not on the usual network but stand alone at home. I run the Spybot S&D and when I restarted it and tried to login, a error box appears with C:\windows\system32\command.com the parameter is incorrect. I have no logs to send yet since I am not on windows yet. I will try to sign on in safe mode. I am writing this from another computer. Thanks for your help.

    By the way, I am a first time poster so let me how things are done.

    Welcome to Major Geeks!

    You may want to read the info in the below link where people have started to acquire more info on this infection. However there is no known fix/cure for the files that it corrupts. At least not yet.

    Also you should attempt to run our cleaning procedures if possible even if you have to logon in safe mode or use a different user account.
