Problem downloading pictures from stick

I've always been able to put the camera memory stick into the port and up popped a box asking how I wanted to view them. That no longer happens. I have to go to my computer and click on Sony. The problem there is the pix don't go into my Windows gallery. I have to hunt them up and put them in. So far I haven't had great luck with that every time. Anyone know why that box doesn't come up anymore? Thanks. I have Vista 6 although the help box says Version 8, 256 cipher strength. Thanks.

 

This would suggest to me that autoplay is no longer working. I believe this was disabled in a Microsoft patch as it was a security flaw as viruses could auto-execute based on the autoplay options.

 

Thanks to your comment I searched for autoplay and choose one of the options to open the pictures. I can now import them using Windows. From there I can move them to Windows Gallery. Thanks for the help.

 

There's no such thing as Vista 6 or Vista 8.
