Problem printing footers in Word2000

Hi all,

I have two users with the same problem. While trying to print word docs, the footers keep showing page 1 of 1, page 2 of 2, page 3 of 3, etc. If I go into print preview and print from there, the docs come out fine.

The computers are running Win2K and Office 2K. I should point out that this happens whatever printer the document is output to. Other computers can open the same document and they print fine.

I have done a full reinstall of office but this has not cured the problem.

This is a known bug in Word 2000. You can go to http://support.microsoft.com and probably find out how to correct it. There's also a lot of Word help to be found at http://www.theofficeexperts.com/word.htm and some more at http://www.uwec.edu/help/index.htm.

 

Thanks, have found out that uninstalling Word does not delete normal.dot.
