hello, i have windows xp and this is the first time i have had this trouble. normally, i go to 'my pictures', click the pictures i want to save to cd, hit 'send to' the cd drive, then when i am finished, i simply save to cd, and it works fine. today i tried it and it says that i need to insert a writable cd into the tray. this is a pretty new spool of cd-r's, and for some reason, the cd drive is reading them as full. i tried to put a blank one in, and checked properties, and the circle is blue as 'used space', there is no free space on any cd at all. even when there is no disc in the drive, i checked the properties and it has it as all used space. i dont know what caused this, anybody have any suggestions? thanks in advance

Try resetting the drive: on the front of your drive, you should see a little tiny hole there. Insert a paper clip or something like that into the hole and push it in for about 5 seconds. Then try your drive again.

i looked at the front of my cd drive, and there is no hole to try the above step with. i have an hp pavillion, about 2 yrs old, i cant locate any reset button for the drive.
