Problem since HDD clone

Hi,

hoping someone can help with this problem with i have been ignoring but it is very frustrating now and i wish to seek some assistance.

So as far as i can recall it seems to have started when I cloned/copied my old HDD to my new one, there are several anomalies occurring,

firstly when i right click my desktop and click personalize.. the box that should come up to allow me to change themes, backgrounds etc does not show up, instead i get an Explorer.exe error which says "No such interface supported".

Secondly when I go into start menu, right click Computer and click properties, nothing happens.. at all, this also happens with many of the menus in control panel where when i click them and nothing happens at all. Also in the start menu, the majority of my programs no longer appear to be linked correctly as when i tried to open them, i get an error saying

"D:\Program Files (x86)\[PROGRAM] The specified path does not exist, Check the path, then try again." - to start my programs I am usually having to go to C: > Program Files > and find the .exe myself (then create a shortcut again on my desktop).

This is wrong and I believe this is where the problem lies (possibly) because it should be looking in my C: drive. I fear that I have caused this as when i added my new drive to my system it was assigned letter D:\ and once i had cloned my old C:\ to the new one, I changed drive letters D to C. So i think windows is "looking" in the wrong place for my programs and shortcuts.

However i have no idea how to rectify this or if it is even the root cause, any help or suggestions with this would be much appreciated!
