Problem Waking Up!

When coming out of sleep mode, my computer sometimes starts, stops, starts, stops, in an endless loop. I have to shut it off and then restart it. It doesn't happen every time, but often enough to be a nuisance. I hope someone can help me figure this out. I am not a very advanced user.

If you have problems waking up, try sleeping on your side - It's helped me a lot:-D

Do any problems occur if you hibernate the computer?

 

I have not tried that. What is the difference?

 

HIbernation saves the contents of your computer's memory to hard drive and then shuts down. When it restarts it reloads the memory and carries on from where you left off. Sleep mode just shuts down everything except (depending on sleep mode) the processor and memory.

Hibernate is slower to recover than sleep mode, but it is faster than a normal startup.

I am suggesting you try this to see if you have any issues coming out.

 

I have been using hibernations for a few days now, with no problem. It is not as quick as sleep mode, but it gets the job done. There have been no problems with it so far...........
