I am having problems cleaning an infected pc. Everytime I do a scan every thing looks alright. Then hours later I do another scan, it' infected again.

While scanning with SAS the computer locks up. The pc freezes up during scans. The last time I fixed the problem I had to put the hard drive in another pc. It seems like I was able to scan it after that, but the problem returns after some hours later.

If SAS is causing a lock up....just continue with the other scans. Did you do the ComboFix scan first? Did you have a problem running it?

I did not do the combo fix, I will try the other scans.

Running combofix first will often allow you to run the other scans as it will do some preliminary cleaning.

After running all of the other scans, the pc still freezes when trying SAS. It freezes when scanning the registry. I have tryed several times but with the same result.(hku\default\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internet settings\zonemap\domains). The other time (hku15-1-5-20_classes\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internetsettings\zonemap\antiviruspremium.com). The last time I tried different location but always(microsoft\windows\currentversion\internetsettings\zonemap).

You are not giving me anything to work with. Did you download ComboFix to the desktop and rename it. Did it run? If not did you get any error messages. Did you run Malwarebytes? Did it have errors? If not where is the log? Did you run MGTools.exe...where there errors> if not where is the MGLogs.zip. What exactly were the errors if there where any.

I am still having the same problem. The only time the pc locks up is during SAS and DR. WEB scan's. Could it be software conflict. Thank you for your reply TimW.

I would uninstall SAS....then see if the problem persists with other scans.

I believe that I found the problem. CPU was running hot, because a bracket on the fan was broken. thank you for your help.
