Problem with Command Prompt

I have a problem with the Command Prompt on my computer.

Everytime I go to

Start Menu > Run > cmd.exe

I get an error message looking like this:

It also comes up randomly from time to time. Does it mean anything? And how can it be fixed?

I used the command "ping" the first time it happened. Is there a problem with using "ping"?

Try just:

cmd

or

command

 

Plus your link doesn't work.

With ping, you have to specify a location....as in:

Ping www.majorgeeks.com

or

ping 67.19.72.100

or

ping 127.0.0.1

 

command

or

command.com

will work for sure too

Sorry about the link not working.

I did originally type "ping www.yahoo.com" and that's when it happened.

I can email the screenshot to anyone who wants to see it. It's too big for an atachment and I don't know how to use my site.

It says something like:

And sometimes it comes up without "ping <random website>"
