    Hey all...

I did a search of the forums and couldn't come up with any information regarding this subject matter.... if I missed it my apologies in advance.

I am running a Compaq Presario 5000, Windows ME.... recently, because the computer was simply pilling up with "junk" and I was rapidly running out of memory space we decided to use the recovery option and return the computer to Factory presets. Smart idea, because now I have a whole new "old" computer, BUT... I had to re-install and update all the drivers,programs,plug-in's etc, because the computer is 6 years old.

Anyways, everything seems to be working fine with the exception of Macromedia Flash Player in Internet Explorer. I have the player installed (or so I think I do, I installed both the Firefox (as we use that as well) and the IE versions), BUT when using the http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/welcome/ Test/Confirmation page I get the following:

    Macromedia Flash Player
You need JavaScript enabled to view this content.

Now, I have checked and rechecked the Internet options for IE. All of the active scripting for all of the zones (with the exception of restricted which is set to promt) is set to ENABLE. I also downloaded the latest version of Java from the Sun website. I figure if Firefox is working fine, why isn't IE?

It's complecating things because I as well am trying to re-install Nero Photoshow and it gets an error telling me that "To Install photoshow you must have Flash Player 7 or higher installed on your system".

Does this mean that the entire computer is not recognizing the install of Flash Player (even though Firefox is?) or is this javascripting/IE problem causing this to occur?

    HELP!

(Oh sorry if the answer to this is as simple as a click.... I've been working on getting this computer back in working order for quite a few hours now and am tiring rapidly.... never knew a computer could restart or would have to restart to finish installations so many times.... I lost count at 25....)

    Thanks in advance!
