problem with internet

alright, to start off, i know absolutely nothing about computers
ive been searching google and other forums for seriously like 2 hours
and im still having trouble with my problem

well first off, i was using my laptop when all of a sudden the internet disconnected.
and i have wireless internet
so i tried to connect again, when all of a sudden my network dissappeared off the list of available networks
so i shut it down
and it still wasnt there
and hasnt been for a few days now
so anyone have any idea that will actually work?
because everything i read i tried and nothing worked

 

What kinda Router you useing.
Would all so any chance have norton ant virus.
If you do try and un-install it and see if that works.
Some of my friends are haveing the same problem.
