Hello and welcome to MGs. :)

I've moved your post to it's own thread. It's always best to start a new one when you are asking advice.

What type of iPod was it? Any specs?
Have you done anything significant to the iPod? Such as import crudloads of songs, or large files?

Well, it's a nano, 8GBs, umm... fourth generation i think?
I've only had it for about eight months now, and I haven't done anything out of the ordinary with it. I don't have many songs on it, more pictures, and no videos.
If anyone has any ideas, I would gladly welcome them, and possibly love you for the rest of my life.
Speaking of which, thank you so much to LauraR!!

Can you do a hard reset? Have you tried it on different computers? I don't use iPods, so I unfortunately can't help you with details on how to do the reset. Sorry about that.

That means it's still under warranty... if you want to make life easy for yourself, try to RMA it. :)

I've tried restting it, and that doesn't work. I've alsso spent hours of my life looking up things on Google to try and help, and none of them do, lol, maybe i should just give up and RMA it.
Thank you to everyone for trying to help, or give a hopeless technology-impaired person like me the time of day, lol

Try it in a few computers and see what it says, i've got a myriad of USB devices that will and wont work with certain computers i own.

But tbh i would just take it back to where i bought it and get a new one or a refund.

    Hi

    Could try for the Nano

Press menu and centre until your ipod reboots and as soon as the apple logo appears on screen press fast foward + re-wind + menu + select keys all at the same time as this should send the ipod into error checking mode.

Well, i tried taking it back to Walmart (where i bought it) and they told me it can't be returned or refunded, and that i would have to contact Apple to get a new iPod.
I've never tried it on another computer, because it won't sync anymore music, and if i try it on a different computer, im freaked out that i won't be able to get my music back onto it.
Also, for the error-checking thing, do i hold down the five buttons on the front? like, the four click wheel ones and the centre button? i tried that, and nothing happened, does a certain screen pop up?
