Problem with keeping time.

I'll admit that I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but when I reboot from WindowXP back to Ubuntu, the clock resets it's self. It is always 3 hours off and changes from A.M. to P.M. Under Ubuntu everything is fine. At first I thought maybe it was the cmos battery, but its not that. I'm working with a fresh install of XP as well as Ububtu 9.04 64 bit. My system is newly built (budget minded) as follows

Antec 850 Watt PSU
Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UD4P
4 gig Mushkin 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
BFG Tech BFGE98512GTXPOCBE GeForce 9800 GTX+
AMD Phenom 8750
Western Digital RE3 WD1002FBYS 1TB HDD With XP
2 WD WD360GD Raptors With Ubuntu

I kept the os's on separate drives because I have never put 2 os's on the same drive before and had issues trying it so I decided hell with it and used the separate drives. I have no other issues. Thanks for any help.

 

could it be set for the wrong time zone? if it's exactly 3 hours, then that would seem to be the case.

 

No, time zone is correct.I'm stumped.

The time stays correct with Ubuntu, no issues. While I'm running Ubuntu, and then go back to XP, the clock is off. Now, if I'm running XP, it's fine. I can shut down the system all day while I at work, come home and turn it on and it's fine. It only happens WHILE I'm running Ubuntu.

I am running Ubuntu on 2 PCs in Virtual mode and have the same issues.
I have reset the time zone so many times i am dizzy but it always reverts after a re-boot.
If anyone finds an answer please post it.
