Problem With Keyboard Defaulting To Cap Lock.

Trying to help my 89 year old father with this problem. When he boots up his desktop, it functions normally for a few minutes, but then it goes into cap lock mode, and you can't get it out. The only way to type lower case, is to use the shift key. I asked him if anyone else has seen it do this, and he said, oh yes. I've done a little research and sent him a link of some things to try. I figured I'd post this here for any possible suggestions. Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem, so if this is in the wrong forum, please move it. Thanks.

Try this

Click on Windows start Icon on task bar.

Then click settings

Select accessibility on the icon panel.



On the right side of Accessibility section scroll down until you see keyboard options.And select this otpion


While in keyboard section turn stuff off if it's on.



See if this helps.You can all so push the shift key 5 times fast to bring this option up.
