Problem with kid's CD

I have an XP w/SP2. I used to be able to run Broderbund, Kid Pix Deluxe 3 and some other cds. Now they will not run. I keep getting the error messagebefore it will load:
16 bit Windows Subsystem
C:windows\system32\autoexect.nt
The sytsem file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows appications.

Recently, I was hijacked with adware and worked with the other forum to remove just about all of it. Notsure if that had anything to do with this or if it is related to the service pack upgrade (haven't run the cds in a while).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Have you tried running it in Compatibility Mode?

Did it stop working after SP2?

You should try the manufacturers website to see if their is an updated version if it is in fact incompatible with SP2.

Running it in compatibiliy mode, every way, did not work. I went to the manufacture's web site and they are not much help, either on the the web support forum or through e-mail support responses. Not sure when the cds stopped running because the kid's have not used them in months. But, the disks that say "XP" in the system requirements still run.

 

try this

go to my computer
C drive
Windows folder
Repair Folder
copy the autoexec.nt to system32 folder

 

That did it! My son will be very happy. Thank you.
