I, too, am experiencing problems with Malwarebytes. I followed all the procedures in the other threads. There are no viruses/trojans. When I run mbam-setup.exe for ver. 1.43, I get to the end of the setup. When I click on "Finish", the following pops up:

When I checked the Malwarebytes program folder, there was no "mbam.exe" in it.

As I indicated, I followed your malware removal procedures to a tee and my computer is clean.

I've already used "mbam-clean", Revo-Uninstaller, uninstall from the "Start" menu and uninstall from "Add/Remove Programs" via the control panel, with the same results.

    I'm running XP w/SP3 on a Toshiba Satellite A105-S4004.

Hi SGI, did you go through the Read and Run thoroughly? As MBAM is one of the required tools!

    As per MG Admin chaslang-
Important: Rename the downloaded mbam-setup.exe file to mb.exe to help work around certain malware that will block it from being run.

I'd suggest you do the R&R again and follow the Malware Removal Procedure for XP again.

Post the requested logs in Malware Removal.

I did rename "mabm-setup.exe" and had the same result. The logs which I posted at the malware removal forum are the most recent ones from late this afternoon.

I see you've posted the logs and mentioned the issue with MBAM in Malware Removal.

You were still in the process of scanning and posting, when I responded here:) Not to worry - the Malware experts will have you up and running. Good idea not to make any changes in your Sys now, till they say so.
    Cheers :wave

The first thing I noticed is that you're using v1.43. MBAM has been v1.44 for a few weeks now. I would just uninstall your MBAM and do a clean install from the web site. That should fix your problem.

Quoting the above is telling me that it has not been updated in awhile, I got v1.44 as an update without remove/reload. It is important to update prior to each use with the free version, if it will not update there is something stopping it. I don't see much reference up here but Conficker is still around I have found it on a couple of machines lately.

Take the test it only take a minute to see if you have it. http://www.confickerworkinggroup.org/wiki/
