Problem with Marvel Ultimate Alliance

    hey people
    im trying to play the game and when it opens it was crashing back to the desktop.
    then i read online that the gamepads were causing this... so i disconnected the gamepad it i didnt crash anymore.

    the new problem is: the game opens and it has sound, but it doesnt have image... i mean, the display turns black and a little window appears with "Hz ?" written in it.

    i had the problem before trying to play fifa, but i fixed it reducing the refresh rate of my monitor to 60Hz. This didnt work this time so...

    anyone knows why is this happening?

    Hi

    What Windows version you using and is it fully upto date?

    What version of DirectX do you have? click start > run and type dxdiag and hit enter and it will tell you, if not at Directx9c for XP then you need to update. Vista and Windows 7 come with latest versions of DirectX 10 for Vista and 11 for Windows 7.

    What are your PCs specs, CPU, RAM, HDD, Graphic Card? and is it well within the specs needed to run that game?

    Think the 1st step I would take is to uninstall the game and then make sure you have the latest graphic card drivers, then re-install the game again from the disk.

    Also reduce your screen resolution as depending on your gfx card and monitor you could be running a higher resolution than the game can handle

    We really do need your full system specs as Halo has asked for. That site will only check for basic compatibility, it tells us nothing about your PC.

    well, i tried change resolution and refresh rates to see if i found a correct combination... but i ended up trying one that didnt work with my computer and the display stoped showing the desktop.
    so i started in security mode and reinstalled the nvidia driver.
    now its working.

    now, does anyone know how to fix that gamepad problem?
    thx anyway.
