Problem with MSN Messenger

Right, everytime I start up Windows, MSN Messenger starts automatically and logs into my .NET account even though I have it disabled at startup.
This is more of an annoyance than anything and was just wonderin if anyone knows how to stop this from happening or even how to uninstall Messenger?
Any help appreciated....

In your Registry, under Local Machine and User in the RunOnce tree, there is a entry for MSN Messenger, which is the 4.1 version. The great thing is that Microsoft has a KB302089.
