Kind of an odd problem my roommates and I have encountered. Recently, my roommate checked on our wireless router (since all three of us use laptops), and found a port on one of the computers that is being kept open, and no matter what we've tried (super anti-spyware, spybot, avast, combofix), we've been unsuccessful at closing that port. Just wondering if anyone here has ever run into anything similar to this problem, and if so, does anyone have any suggestions about what to do about this situation? All three of us are very concerned, because we are worried that this "stuck open" port may be someone or some program has placed a hook in a registry file or something, and may be allowing someone to see what is on our screens, or copying data, or recording key strokes, or something like that. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Maybe something like CurrPorts would be of help.
