Hello...I am having a problem with RDP. I recently built a new computer (Windows XP Pro SP3) and and have it along with another PC connected to a Linksys WRT54G router. Both PC's and the router are new.

Here is my main challenge. I have been using rdp for several years and love it, but since I built my new PC about every 7 - 10 days I cannot rdp to my new pc. However I can access my other PC which is connected to the same router. I have tried just rebooting the router, but that does not fix the problem. The only way to resolve it temporarily is to reboot my PC which is fine, but I would rather find a permanent fix. I have tried just changing the port but that didn't fix it either. I thought it may have been a firewall issue, but I have turned it off to to attempt to connect, but no dice there either. My current work around is a scheduled reboot. Again it is only one my newly built PC.

Thanks for any and all input!!

RDP/RDC is great out of the box. If you have hacked the registry to use an alternate port, you have some chops to take it to the next level.

Try VNC (free for personal use)

You can set it to use any port you like.

Thanks, but I found the issue. It was a video driver issue.
