Problem with Windows 7 and Sleep

In Windows 7 my Wireless card seems to prevent my computer from sleeping, the properties box for my Intel(R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN in Power Management has 3 check-boxes,( Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power, Allow this device to wake the computer and Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer) which are enabled by default in Windows 7. Before discovering this I attempted to put my laptop to sleep - the screen went blank and the hard drive light stopped blinking, but the computer never went to sleep and no matter what I did would not wake either - hard shut down. Googled around and found out about the WiFi wake setting, unchecked all the boxes, now it slept, however, on restart all the check boxes are checked again. This happens each shutdown, the check boxes are checked no matter how often I uncheck them. Anyone know what I'm missing? Or am I stuck unchecking each box before each sleep session? :confused

 

Thank you! Sony is not offering Windows 7 driver updates for my Computer, I never thought to look on the Intel site, Winders driver update said I had the most up to date version. The allow this device to wake the computer box is now unchecked.
