Problem with Windows Installer

I appologize if the answer is already out there, but if it is I couldn't find it and I am not sure if I a posting to the right forum.

Just not real computer savy with the technical stuff.

I have been having problems with Windows Installer popping up when I boot up and again when I attempt to open a new link or program.

I used the Installer Cleanup tool and eliminated the problem I had when I boot up.

When I open up a new program or new link within that program I get the Preparing to install window. In a few seconds another window opens up and it tells me:

The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.

Click OK to try again, or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package ‘SearchSettings.msi’ in the box below.

Use Source: (in the box is this info) C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\{7141BC4F-6109-429E-99FD-EDE358F5B814}\1

I found in the Installer Cleanup: Search Settings 1.2[11.1.27] Do I need to remove that from the Windows Installer?

Problem solved! Found info on another site with problem identical to mine other than she was running Vista. She finally solved the problem by uninstalling Search Settings 1.2. I used the Install Cleanup tool and no more install windows popping up.
