I have recently bought a HP laptop from the States then brought it back to England. I have tried setting up a wireless connection at home, the laptop recognizes that the router is there but it won't connect to the internet, even when the laptop is connected directly to the modem. The internet was working fine in the States, are there any settings I need to change?

Define "the internet". Are you trying to use the same ISP? What method are you using to connect to the internet?

Also post more details. What OS are you using? What type of connection? What kind of router?

Chances for resolution will increase if you give us more info to work with.
