Problems after installing Outpost

    After fixing up Malware prob with Majorgeeks and then protecting my laptop according to How to Protect yourself from Malware, I downloaded Outpost and lost internet connectivity. Nothing I did worked, except to undo changes with a system restore using the Reinstallation CD.

    I'm pretty sure my problem was the same as in:

    http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=208434&highlight=outpost

    I haven't followed the instructions to fix it, because it was a 2007 post and therefore might be a bit out of date, and I'm not 100% clear about what it is.

    Anyway after the restore, I have been left without a firewall, because that doesn't seem to have been loaded properly - when I click on the Outpost badge it says
    <PRODUCT>
    Service is not available....

    when I right click this message, I only get one option which is to Exit.

    can someone talk me thro how to fix it.

    thanks in advance,

    Gail

    Sorry....thought it was a 2007 post, but that was when the member joined. Still I don't want to follow those instructions to fix it yet unless I've been directed to.

    Nevermind. I reloaded Outpost, then deleted it and then installed COMODO Firewall and its working great.
