    Hi again all,
Once again, I turn to MajorGeeks to be my technological saviour.

I usually pick up wireless connections automatically on my laptop (Acer Aspire, 4315-2004) but as of about a couple weeks ago, my laptop hasn't been able to connect to the Internet through any wireless networks. Now, on hovering the mouse on the little, double computer icon in the system tray (network icon?), it only registers as 'Local only' and no little globe sits on the icon :(

I have reset the wireless adapter, disconnected and connected, disabled modem and enabled it again, turned off and on the wireless switch. I've run out of options and now I'm at a huge loss as to what must be done.

Will be much appreciated if I can get some help. Thanks in advance, and I know my technological jargon sucks :-o

Could I ask a couple of questions?
    *How old is your laptop?
*Have you downloaded the latest drivers?

Just trying to help, sometimes that could be it....or you could have a bad wireless adapter.
